KLAUS TEUBER is the visionary German board game designer who created the worldwide bestseller, CATAN (originally The Settlers of Catan). Teuber retired from his job as a dental technician to become a full-time game designer in 1999. CATAN won him the second of four prestigious “Spiel des Jahres” (Game of the Year) awards. He lives in Darmstadt with his wife, Claudia. They have two sons, Guido and Benjamin.
