MARIA LEWIS is a screenwriter, best-selling author, film curator and pop culture etymologist currently based in Australia. She has built an international reputation as a storyteller across a diverse range of mediums including the award-winning Supernatural Sisters series. In film and television space, she has worked on projects for Netflix, AMC, BBC, Ubisoft, DC Comics, ABC, Marvel and many more. She is also the writer, researcher, presenter and producer of audio documentaries Josie and the Podcats and The Phantom Never Dies, about the world’s first superhero. In 2022, she made her directorial debut with The House That Hungers, based on her award-winning short story of the same name.
