“Rosemary Jones weaves a spell-binding tale of unease and apprehension in Mask of Silver. With a boogeyman as insubstantial as Sydney’s hooded man, it’s a different kind of terror than most of the Arkham Horror series. Instead of jumping from a very specific monster, we want to run from a feeling, an atmosphere.”
– Cosmic Circus

“Silent movies and quietly unsettling cosmic horror just seem like such a good match, and the pulpy but creepy Arkham Horror setting is a perfect place for this story to live – this isn’t a story concerned with jump scares, gore or anything outright nasty, but anyone interested in a creepy tale of life mirroring art in the era of silent movies is in for a treat”
– Track of Words

“This is a suspense story more than it is horror and we see it all through Jenny Lin’s eyes. Jenny knows that Sydney is up to something. She knows the house is helping him. She knows that Renee is the pivot point and that the silver mask is evil. The suspense builds as recurring nightmares, inexplicable events, unlikely injuries, cast disappearances, and other accouterments of horror tales start happening as the solstice approaches.”

“If you enjoy well-researched historical fiction and horror that is more about creepiness and something awful lurking nearby, you’ll enjoy Mask of Silver. Fans of Arkham Horror and other Lovecraftiana will also enjoy this clever twist on one of the mainstays of the Mythos.”
– History That Never Was

“Absolutely gripping… I absolutely do recommend this, for the mood of Golden Age silent movies combined with ancient unknowable evils. Magic of all kinds, and regular folks trying to survive in many ways. I loved Mask of Silver, and am very much looking forward to the next title in this excellent series.”

“I may have a new favorite Arkham story: Mask of Silver… [a] slow-burn work of unsettling horror.”
– Fistful of Meeples

“A slow burn, low-key tale of cosmic horror.”
